Reason

TMS will remove the existing pipe to install the new beam support during the shutdown (16345494 – 332ML002 T1 Feed Structural Platform Replacement). The pipe is already in poor, heavily corroded condition, so there’s a good chance it could fail or be further damaged during removal. Instead of putting a compromised line back in, it makes sense to take the opportunity to fabricate and install a new one while the system is already offline

Consequence

There’s a high chance the pipe could collapse or sustain further damage during removal, which may lead to leaks once back in operation and potentially result in an unplanned mill shutdown for repairs.
